A bottle of virgin camelina oil and a jar of camelina honey, brought together to get to know this plant. The oil, silky and subtle, offers asparagus aromas that give way to floral and hazelnut notes. The honey is golden, liquid and unpasteurized.
Signé Caméline grows camelina in Saint-Édouard-de-Napierville, in Montérégie. Its hives are set right in the fields, so the bees can forage on camelina flowers.
Format: box of 2 products.
What's inside: 1 bottle of virgin camelina oil, 250 ml, and 1 jar of liquid camelina honey, 250 g.
Ingredients: virgin camelina oil for the oil; camelina honey for the honey.
Allergens: the oil may contain traces of mustard.
Serving suggestion: use the oil as you would olive oil, in salad dressings, on roasted vegetables and fish, or in marinades. Enjoy the honey by the spoonful, at breakfast, in drinks and in recipes.
Storage: the oil keeps for up to two years on the shelf and six months after opening, at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. The honey may crystallize naturally: warm it gently in a double boiler or in the oven at a very low temperature to liquefy it.
Origin: produced in Quebec, on the family farm in Saint-Édouard-de-Napierville, in Montérégie, as well as in collaboration with other farms.
