Dried elderflowers, sold loose, for a delicate floral herbal tea with naturally fragrant notes. Free of caffeine and theine, it can be enjoyed at any time of day, steeped mild or stronger to your taste.
Dried elderflowers also have a place in the kitchen to flavour breads, jellies, syrups and condiments, or to make floral summer lemonades. This herbal tea from the Immunia line comes from Fruitomed, a company based in Chaudière-Appalaches.
Format: 75 g loose-leaf bag, about 75 cups.
Ingredients: dried elderflowers.
Serving suggestion: steep 1 tsp (about 1 g) of flowers in 250 ml of simmering water for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain.
Storage: in the original packaging or an airtight container, away from light and moisture.
Origin: a product of Fruitomed, in Chaudière-Appalaches.
Precautions: elderflower is traditionally considered mildly diuretic; it is best not to drink a large amount right before bedtime.
