Onions cooked into a confit with organic maple syrup and balsamic vinegar of Modena. The maple gives them a sweet touch that pairs with cheese, charcuterie and foie gras.
Blanc par rouge is the gourmet maple brand of Produits d'Érable Cumberland, a family business based in Thetford Mines, in Chaudière-Appalaches. This confit works as well on a cheese board as on a burger.
Format: 150 g.
Ingredients: sugar (pure organic maple syrup, brown sugar, sugar), onions, balsamic vinegar of Modena, canola oil, water, spices, salt, citric acid, xanthan gum.
Allergens: contains sulphites. Gluten-free, according to the maker.
Serving suggestion: serve with your cheeses or at a wine and cheese evening, alongside rillettes or pâté. Add it to a grilled cheese sandwich with a strong cheese, a sub or a burger, or serve it with cold cuts. It also goes with foie gras, duck breast, guinea fowl and even couscous.
Storage: refrigerate after opening.
