A sparkling energy drink made with an organic yerba mate infusion, a plant from South America. Rich and juicy, the Passion flavour brings to mind a perfectly ripe passion fruit, with a touch of lime, for an energy boost without coffee.
Mate Libre makes it in Montréal. According to the maker, the drink is organic and fair trade, and its current version contains 65 mg of caffeine per can, roughly the equivalent of an espresso.
Format: 330 ml can. The maker now sells a 355 ml can; the format may vary by batch.
