Update note: this interview was published in January 2023. The projects, points of sale and goals mentioned reflect DouceSoeur's situation at the time of the conversation. The chocolate shop still has products currently available at Signé Local.
DouceSoeur is an artisanal chocolate shop founded by sisters Monique and Louise Des Rosiers. In this portrait, Monique explains how a long entrepreneurial experience led her to chocolate making and how the business became a family adventure.

A passion found after several projects
Monique explains that she has always wanted to be an entrepreneur. After exploring different business ideas, she found in chocolate making a field that combined her creativity and her love of gourmet treats.
A family business
Starting the chocolate shop with her sister Louise is, for her, one of the most memorable moments of the journey. Her partner Pierre later joined the business, strengthening its family dimension.

Croquenbouche, the signature product
Among the chocolate shop's creations, Monique presented the Croquenbouche as a star product: a crunchy butter caramel with roasted almonds, coated in chocolate.
Listening to customers and continuing to create
The founder stressed the importance of paying attention to customers' tastes, new trends and the occasions for which chocolates are bought or given. She saw each exchange as a source of ideas for future creations.
A product currently available
Croquenbouche, 70% Dark Chocolate: $13 to $22
This portrait preserves Monique Des Rosiers's account of the birth of DouceSoeur and the growth of a family chocolate shop.
